This uncirculated 1,000 South Vietnamese dong banknote was issued by the National Bank of Vietnam in 1972 and signed by Kilu Phan Qui and Tran Van Thi. It is a green and blue note that measures 153 mm by 75 mm. Its obverse side features the Independence Palace in Saigon, flowers, and a pseudo-embossed underprint.
Its reverse side depicts three elephants carrying crates. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Nguyen Thi Mai Anh.
