This new Mexico 20 Pesos polymer banknote was released by the Bank of Mexico in 2021 to commemorate the nation's 200th year of independence. Featured on its obverse is the representation of the gate of the Army of the Three Guarantees to Mexico City on September 27, 1821. The reverse of the paper bill depicts mangroves, a crocodile, and a chocolate heron in the Sian Ka-an Biosphere Reserve. This banknote was printed by the Banco de Mexico and is part of the Series G family. It is 120 x 65 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
