This Hong Kong 10 Dollar banknote was issued in January 1981 by the Standard Chartered Bank of Hong Kong. Its obverse side depicts the bank logo pattern in underprint and a mythological carp fish jumping out of water. The reverse side features the Chartered Bank headquarters building in Central district, Hong Kong, and the crowned coat of arms depicting a lion and unicorn rampant.
The note has a dimension of 151 x 83 mm and is equipped with a solid security thread printed CBHK to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a head pattern watermark of an Allegorical helmeted warrior.
